Winter comes to Y+R; Enviroment Canada issues icing warning
Scenic but the snow doesn't seem to be sticking! But that may change. With temperatures plunging, Environment Canada issued a special weather statement for Toronto. (see below)
The Environment Canada statement, issued just before 5 p.m.on Tuesday, also includes the City of Hamilton, Halton, Peel, York and Durham. According to Environment Canada. It says these areas are the most likely to experience a mix of wet snow and rain beginning Tuesday afternoon and continuing into Wednesday morning.
An Arctic cold front that will cross southern and eastern Ontario Tuesday will bring cold air and temperatures near and below freezing, potentially leaving surfaces like roads and sidewalk slick and hazardous.
