Extreme cold weather alert issued

The City of Toronto has issued an extreme cold weather alert with temperatures set to plummet starting Monday afternoon.
The temperature in the city is set to drop to -4 C Monday afternoon before plummeting to -16 C Monday night. Tuesday’s forecasted high is -12 C, but the wind chill will make it feel more like -27 C.
Environment Canada has also issued a special weather statement for parts of southern and eastern Ontario warning of heavy flurries, gusty winds and blowing snow.
